Origin: selection carried out on Chinese production plantations, mainly in the Ningxia region
Vigour: strong, plant height 180 - 200 cm
Blossom: self-fertile, starts flowering already in June, with small purple flowers
Fruits: large, 1,5 cm long, oblong-oval berries with a shiny orange-red skin and sweet taste. The sugar content is up to 20° Brix and more. Compared to other varieties such as the Big Lifeberry®, the yields are better here and the berries taste sweeter. Suitable for fresh consumption, drying and making jam. Goji berries contain the highest levels of antioxidants of all fruits, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, C, E, 19 amino acids, 4 minerals, 21 trace elements, 4 carotenoids and polyphenols.
Harvest season: August. Start to bear fruits in the same year after spring planting.
Disease resistance: no susceptibility to pests and diseases was observed
Frost resistance: completely hardy

Planting: avoid planting Goji berry in heavy (clayey) and wet soil where it grows poorly. Goji thrives best after planting in an airy peat substrate in which it roots quickly while fertilizing with water-soluble NPK fertilizer in each watering. The goji plant responds very well to fertilizing watering, especially in dry and warm weather, similar to peppers and tomatoes as they come from the same family - solanaceae. With this care, the plant will bring the crop already in the same year after the spring planting, there is no need to wait a few years for the first harvest.
