High-yielding Dutch medlar with large fruits. Disease-resistant and easy to grow. The flowers and leaves are very decorative.
Vigour: moderate, large shrub or small tree with characteristic laurel-like leaves. Tolerates drought well, suitable for warm and sunny locations.
Blossom: very decorative, blooms in May, self-fertile
Fruits: large, weight 60 - 70 g, up to 5 cm in diameter, slightly flattened, peel brown. Pulp light brown, initially firm, but soft and doughy when fully ripe.
Taste: excellent sweet with a strong aroma, tastes like apple-pear puree
Harvest season: October - November, can be processed after the effects of frost or longer storage
Yield: high and regular, early yield onset, already in 2-nd - 3rd year after planting
Usage: for fresh consumption, baking, jams, for burning
Disease resistance: high, suitable for organic or no-spray culture
