Large-fruited winter pear with a high market value, excellent taste and resistance to disease and frost. Especially suitable for hobby gardeners because it reliably bears high-quality fruits even under extensive growing conditions.

Origin: Crimean testing and breeding fruit station Ukraine, breeder R.D. Babina, A.F. Mileshko, V.A. Yakimov
Crossing: Beurre Six x Phelps
Vigour: moderate, canopy compact, narrow-pyramidal, medium dense. Variety suitable for intensive orchards with compact trees in the row.
Blossom: medium early, partially self-fertile, for better pollination need another pear blooming at the same time. The flowers and young fruits are relatively resistant to late spring frosts.
Fruits: very large, average weight 300 - 350 g, some huge up to 450 g, regularly pear-shaped. Peel thin but firm, greasy, greenish in harwest maturity, golden yellow with a beautiful deep red blush on the sunny side in consumption maturity. Fruits have a high market value and are well transportable. Very nice, attractive market fruits.
Pulp: white, tender, very juicy, aromaticy
Taste: excellent sweet and sour, highly valued
Harvest season: harwest maturity in early October
Storage: in the refrigerator until late-March
Yield: high and regular. Early yield onset, already in the 3rd - 4th year after planting.
Frost resistance: very good
Disease resistance: good resistance to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora), scab (Venturia pyrina) and pear rust (Gymnosporangium sabinae). Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
