Bred in the USA and and released in 1989. Bluegold blueberry is popular for its low maintenance, disease-resistance, simple cultivation, high yield, excellent fruit taste and long-term storage.
Vigour: upright and low, the shrub reach a height of up to 120 cm with a large number of shoots
Fruits: medium-sized (70 pcs / 0.25 l), very balanced in shape, colored early, but ripens later into a harmonious sweet taste. The fruits have excellent shelf life and last long during the winter in freezers or refrigerators with a controlled atmosphere.
Harvest season: medium early, first half of August
Frost resistance: verry high, up to -34°C
