Cacak Thornless, original name Cacanska Bestrna has shown remarkable results in terms of yield and fruit quality, as well as to disease resistance and winter frosts. It is the leading blackberry cultivar in Serbia.

Crossing: Dirksen Thornless x Black Satin, breeder Dr. Miloljub Stanisavljević, Serbia, released in 1998
Vigour: strong, semi-upright and vital, producing 4-5 thornless canes with short internodes
Fruits: very large, cylindrical, shiny black, firm, average weight 9.3 g, sometimes up to 15 g and more. Excellent for fresh consumption as well as for processing. Have very good transportability.
Taste: very sweet and aromatic
Harvest season: starts at the beginning of August and the last fruits can be pick in early September. Berries can be stored in the refrigerator for a few more days after picking.
Yield: regular very high yields, up to 28 t / ha even under extensive growing conditions
Disease resistance: generally highly resistant to disease and pests, suitable for organic or no-spray culture
Frost resistance: hardy
