Large-fruited almond variety with deliciously sweet kernels. Blooms late, avoiding spring frosts. Among the French varieties, Ferraduel is one of the most important almond varieties in France.

Crossing: Aï x Cristomorto, France (INRA), Bordeaux 1966
Vigour: moderate, final height 3 - 4 m, by pruning the canopy, the tree height and width can be easily adapted to the limited space of a small garden
Site requirements: sunny, thrives on dry, well-drained, humus-rich soil
Blossom: cross-pollinate, blooms profusely, late, mid-March, later than the older almond varieties. Light pink-white flowers are very decorative.
Pollinator: Palatina, or another almond variety blooming at the same time
Fruits: large, oval, hard-shelled. Kernel large, broad-oval of excellent quality with a pleasant delicious taste. Kernel share 35% - 40%. Double kernels do not occur.
Harvest saeson: late September
Yield: very high, regular, early yield onset. Almonds can be stored for more than a year after harvest.
Disease resistance: resistant to Monilia, tolerant to other fungal diseases
Frost resistance: very good, we recommend planting up to 400 m above sea level
