A new Polish variety of dogwood with tasty, large, very sweet and little acidic fruits. Among all varieties of dogwoods, it has the highest content of sugar and vitamin C. Fruits ripen in the second half of August, the harvest period lasts until the end of September. It is suitable for direct consumption as well as for processing.
Origin: Polish fruit variety selected in the Arboretum Bolestraszyce
Growth: moderately strong growing variety with a typical conical crown
Fruit: big, pear-shaped, weighing about 3 g, length up to 2,8 cm. Sugar content: up to 16%, content of fruit acids: only 2.4%, content of vitamin C: 75 mg per 100 g, pectins, anthocyanin dyes: 160 mg per 100 g, polyphenols: 460 mg per 100 g
Maturity: second half of August until the beginning of September
Harvest: high and regular. The harvest time is long and lasts six weeks. This is the longest harvest period of all Polish varieties.
Exploitation: most universal variety, especially recommended as a dessert fruit, for liqueurs, preserves and juice
Disease resistance: sensitivity to fungal diseases or pests is unknown
