Cacanska Bestrna (also called 'Cacak Thornless') has shown remarkable results in terms of yield and fruit quality, as well as to disease resistance and winter frosts. It is the leading blackberry cultivar in Serbia. In the group of semi-erect thornless blackberry cultivars, Čačanska bestrna reaches about 10% of the total world production.

Fruit size: very large, averaging 9.3 g (individual reaching 15 g)
Fruit: shiny black, firm, very sweet and aromatic
Vigour: highly vigorous and vital, producing 4-5 thornless canes with short internodes
Growth habit: fruiting branches are distributed along the cane. The flowers on fruiting branches are rather concentrated, thus the harvest is facilitated. The canes are highly tolerant to low winter temperatures.
Cropping: high yielding cultivar, with yields over 28 t/ha even in an extensive growing conditions
