Siberian high-yielding, large-fruited variety with high fruit quality.
Origin: Hybrid Lonicera Turczaninowii 1-38-50 x Bakcharsky Velikan. Research Institute FGUP “Bakczarskoye” Rosselhozakademii, Tomsk Oblast. Released in 2009.
Vigour: strong, shrub, height 180 cm, width 130 cm, oval plant shape. One-year-old shoots elongated, overhanging at the ends.
Fruits: average weight 1.8 g, max. 2.5 g, elongated pear-shaped, dark violet color, but appear bluish due to the thick wax coating. Sweet in taste. Sugar content 16°Brix. Pretty good for transport. Ripe berries are soft. Dessert fruits, also recommended for freezing.
Harvest season: second half of May. Hand harvest recommended, mechanical harvest possible. Harvest is spread over time. Berries fairly well attached to the bush but can be shaken off.
Yield: average harvest from shrub 3.1 kg, max 5.2 kg. Average harvest per hectare 10.2 t/ha, max. 17.2 t/ha.
Disease resistance: no susceptibility to pests and diseases has been observed
Frost hardiness: completely hardy, even blooming flowers withstand frost -7°С
Special notes: to get a good harvest, it is recommended to plant different varieties next to each other, cross-pollination possible. The following varieties are recommended: Vostorg, Bakcharsky Velikan.
