Siberian high-yielding, large-fruited variety with high fruit quality.
Origin: Lonicera Kamtschatica х hybrid Lonicera Turczaninowii 1-39-23. Research Institute FGUP “Bakczarskoje” Rosselhozakademii, Tomsk Oblast. Released in 2010.
Vigour: Shrub, height 150 cm, width 190 cm, moderate growth and moderately compact structure
Fruits: average weight 1.4 g, max. 1.8 g, uniform, jug-shaped, blunt ended, dark violet, almost black, with a strong wax coating, fruit hard. The taste is very sweet, dessert, also suitable for freezing (after defrosting the sugar content in the fruit does not drop). Sugar content 19.5°Brix. Fruit skin not too thick, moderately suitable for transport.
Harvest season: second half of May. Mechanical and hand harvest, berries have a moderate tendency to shed but easily separate from the stalk during harvest. Uniform ripening of the fruit.
Yield: average harvest from shrub 3.5 kg, max 6.5 kg. Average harvest per hectare 11.5 t/ha, max. 21.4 t/ha.
Disease resistance: no susceptibility to pests and diseases has been observed
Frost hardiness: completely hardy, even blooming flowers withstand frost -7°С
Special notes: to get a good harvest, it is recommended to plant different varieties next to each other, cross-pollination possible. The following varieties are recommended: Doch Velikana, vostorg, Bakcharsky Velikan.
