Large-fruited winter pear from Moldova with a classic pear shape, very good shelf life and disease resistance.
Crossing: Triomphe de Vienne x Decana N. Krier, breeder Ksenia Dushutina, Institutul de Cercetari Pentru Pomicultura, Chisinau 1962
Vigour: moderate
Blossom: early and long-lasting, which improves pollination and yields. Cross-pollinate, pollinators are other pear varieties.
Fruits: very large, 300 - 400 g on average, some huge up to 650 - 700 g, yellow-green, classic attractive pear shape
Pulp: very juicy, sweet, firm, semi-melting, with a strong, pleasant pear aroma
Harvest season: harwest maturity late September to early October, consumption maturity from December. Storage in the cellar is possible until January and in the refrigerator until May.
Storage: in the cellar until March and in the refrigerator until May
Yield: high and regular, early yield onset
Disease resistance: low sensitivity to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora), scab (Venturia pyrina) and pear rust (Gymnosporangium sabinae).
