Outstanding yellow-fleshed variety represents the biggest advancement in peach breeding for many years as it has very high resistance to damaging leaf curl disease. Tree is self-fertile, productive, vigorous, and above average in hardiness of wood and flower buds. Suitable in private gardens and in intensive orchards.
Origin: discovered as a chance seedling in Washington State, near Seattle, 1981
Vigour: moderate, compact, canopy half-upright
Blossom: rich, self-fertile, doesn’t need a different variety peach tree for pollination
Fruits: beautifully colored, large, average weight 180 g, spherical, velvety hairy, very good fruit quality
Fruit color: deep orange-yellow background peel color and an attractive crimson red blush
Pulp: deep yellow, fairly firm, nice texture, juicy, full-bodied peach flavor
Taste: sweet, aromatic
Harvest season: late July / early August
Yield: high and stable
Disease resistance: resistant to leaf curl (Taphrina deformans) and brown rot of stone fruit (Monilinia laxa), suitable for organic or no-spray culture
