New large-fruited red currant with highly valued taste properties. Belongs to the new generation of sweet-fruity varieties. It is classified as a dessert type because of its excellent taste.

Crossing: Jonkheer Van Tets x Altayskaya Rannaya, breeder K.M. Kopan and V.P. Kopan, Ukraine, released in year 2001
Vigour: moderate, compact, shoots medium thick, dark gray. The shrub grows to a height of 1.5 m.
Site requirements: full sun location, the variety is drought-resistant
Fruits: berries very large, 1.0-1.5 g, bright red, round, balanced in size. Skin thin, elastic, shiny. Medium-length, dense bunches, berries ripen at the same time. Pulp light red, dense. The use is universal, especially for fresh consumption, but also for processing.
Taste: excellent dessert, pleasantly sweet and sour, highly rated
Harvest season: medium early, first half of June
Yeald: very high, regular and stable. From a fully grown shrub we get up to 7 kg of quality fruit. Very undemanding, easy-care variety.
Disease resistance: Resistant to fungal diseases, especially to American powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca mors uvae), to leaf fall disease (Drepanopeziza ribis) and the most important pests.
Frost resistance: completely hardy
