Siberian plum (Prunus x hybrid) SKOROPLODNAYA

Very early Siberian plum, intended mainly for northern growing areas with cold winters and unsettled spring weather. Valuable for its adaptability, high frost resistance and very good resistance to fungal diseases. An interspecific hybrid of Cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera), Japanese plum (Prunus salicina), Ussurian plum (Prunus ussuriensis) and Chinese plum (Prunus simonii).

Crossing: Climax x Ussurijskaja Krasnaja, breeder Ch. Yenikeyev. Released in 1998.
Vigour: medium strong, oval canopy, moderately dense
Blossom: the variety is partially self-fertile, so it produces crops even without the presence of pollinator. If there is a pollinator nearby, the harvest will be higher and more stable. A suitable pollinator is another variety of Siberian plum, Japanese plum or Cherry plum. Blooming flowers are resistant to mild frost.
Fruits: weight 30 g, round. The basic color is orange-red. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing.
Pulp: medium-firm, yellow, aromatic, freestone, stone very small
Taste: harmonious, more sweet than sour
Harvest season: very early, at the end of June
Yield: high, stable and regular, early onset
Disease and frost resistance: high
Usage: the variety is particularly suitable for peripheral areas of stone fruit cultivation. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
