Crossing: Stolichnaya x Shtambovyj-1. Bred at the Fruit Research Institute VSTISP Moscow in 1987. Breeder Professor V.V. Kitschina. In 1990 the variety got the breeding number K50, and in 1993 the propagation started under the name Tarusa.
Vigour: strong, upright, up to 1.5 m high. New canes are strong, firm, upright, with shortened internodes, without thorns.
Site requirements: full sun location
Fruits: very large, beautiful shape, bright red, shiny when fully ripe. Average weight 4 - 12 g. The flesh is juicy, melting, with fine small seeds. The berries are shape stable and easy to transport, do not fall off when fully ripe and hold well on the shrub for a long time without loss of quality.
Taste: sweet with a pleasant raspberry flavor
Harvest season: summer variety, bears fruit once a year on last year's wood from early June to late July
Yield: high, averaging 3 - 4 kg of fruit per shrub. Long-term average yield 25 t/ha.
