Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) NASLAZHDENIE

Mid season ukrainian apricot variety. Valuable for excellent taste, good storage and transportability, very high frost resistance and increased resistance to fungal diseases. Due to the low cultivation demands and adaptability, it is particularly suitable for gardeners and for planting in the marginal areas of apricot cultivation.

Crossing: Vynoslivy x Shalakh, Crimean Botanical Orchard, Ukraine
Vigour: moderate, the tree grows healthy, tree height up to 3 m, crown round to expansive, moderately dense
Blossom: medium early, partialy self-fertile, blooming flowers are resistant to mild frost
Fruit: weight 55 to 75 g, oval shape, slightly flattened on the sides, medium-sized stone, peel thin, velvety. The fruits are ideal for drying.
Fruit color: orange covered by small carmine red face on the sunny side
Pulp: light orange, juicy, medium-density, melting, tender, aromatic, freestone
Taste: excellent dessert taste, highly valued, sweet, with mild acidity and a pleasant aroma
Havest season: late July
Yeald: high, regular, an average of 8 - 9 t / ha. Regular tree pruning makes the fruits bigger. Start to produce fruit in the 3rd - 4th year after planting.
Disease and frost resistance: excellent
Usage: due to its adaptability, the variety is particularly suitable for gardeners and for areas where other apricot varieties cannot be grown due to the spring frosts. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
