Early season self-fertile late blooming Romanian apricot. Valuable for excellent taste and quality properties, late flowering as well as resistance to fungal and viral diseases. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.

Crossing: Mari de Cenad x CR 24-12, breeders Elena Topor a dr.doc. Vasile Cociu. Released in 2004.
Vigour: moderate
Blossom: late and rich, the variety is self-fertile
Fruits: large, weight 80 to 100 g, shape round to oval
Fruit colour: very impressive, basic color orange, the characteristic crimson red blush covers almost the entire surface of the fruit
Pulp: orange, moderately juicy with a fine consistency, freestone
Taste: balanced, harmonious, aromatic
Harvest season: late June to early July
Yield: high and regular, early onset to full yield
Disease resistance: resistant to the most important apricot-specific diseases, free of viruses
Usage: universal, for fresh consumption as well as for industrial processing. Due to its late flowering period, the variety is particularly suitable for areas with frequent occurrence of spring frosts, where other apricot varieties cannot be grown.
