Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) POLAR

Early Polish thornless blackberry specially bred for high frost resistance.

Crossing: Research Center Brzezna Poland. Released in 2008.
Vigour: strong, canes half-erect, thorless. Flower buds are highly frost-resistant.
Fruit: large to very large, oval, shiny, aromatic, sweet and sour, average berry weight 7 g, easy to transport. Manual harvest recommended. Fruits suitable for direct consumption and further processing.
Harvest season: harvest time from the end of July to the beginning of September
Yield: regular, high, needs climbing support. The yield from the adult shrub up to 2 kg.
Disease resistance: generally good disease resistance
Frost resistance: excellent
