Siberian plum (Prunus x hybrid) PLAMENNAYA

Mid-early Siberian plum intended mainly for northern growing areas with cold winters and unsettled spring weather. Valuable for tasty fruits, high frost resistance and very good resistance to fungal diseases. An interspecific hybrid of Cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera), Japanese plum (Prunus salicina), Ussurian plum (Prunus ussuriensis) and Chinese plum (Prunus simonii).

Vigour: strong, canopy moderately dense
Blossom: medium early, the variety is partially self-fertile, so it produces crops even without the presence of pollinator. If there is a pollinator nearby, the harvest will be higher and more stable. A suitable pollinator is another variety of Siberian plum, Japanese plum or Cherry plum. Blooming flowers are resistant to mild frost.
Fruit: medium-sized, weight 30 g, round, basic color yellow, cover color bright red over most of the surface. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing.
Pulp: orange, firm, juicy, clingstone. Medium-sized stone.
Taste: harmonious, more sweet than sour, aromatic
Harvest season: second half of July
Yield: high, stable and regular, early yield onset
Disease and frost resistance: high
Usage: the variety is particularly suitable for peripheral areas of stone fruit cultivation. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
