Columnar Apple (Malus domestica) ELITA

Russian variety of late-autumn disease-resistant columnar apple. This variety is also suitable for climatically disadvantaged areas for apple growing. Gardeners particularly value this variety for its excellent taste.

Vigour: weak, compact, columnar, belongs to the group of semi-dwarfs. The side branches are practically missing, making them ideal for smaller gardens.
Blossom: cross-pollinate, it is necessary to either plant two different and compatible kinds of apples in close proximity to each other to cross-pollinate
Fruit: weight from 140 g to 200 g, oval shape, skin firm, shiny
Fruit colour: dark red, almost burgundy with small areas of the original green-yellow tin
Pulp: white, juicy, sweet, slightly sour, dessert with a rich aroma
Harvest season: mid-September to early October
Storage: until January
Yield: high, an average of 5 kg per tree, and increases with care. Early yield onset, already in the 2nd year after planting.
Frost resistance: high
Disease resistance: immune to scab (Vf gene), resistance to other fungal diseases at the level of the best resistant apple varieties. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
