Red Currant (Ribes rubrum) ROLAN

Currant that produces high yields of bright red berries. Disease resistant, suitable for low and medium altitudes.

Vigour: strong, forms a densely branched shrub with an upright habit. Rejuvenation cut required.
Blossom: self-fertile
Fruits: bright red berries, long bunches. Suitable for fresh consumption, freezing and processing into jams and juices.
Taste: sweet-sour, aromatic
Harvest season: ripens from early July
Yield: high, regular
Disease Resistance: resistant to American powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca mors uvae).
Frost resistance: completely hardy
