Siberian plum (Prunus x hybrid) SVERKHRANNAYA

Very early, highly productive Siberian plum with beautiful tasty fruits. Valuable for its adaptability, high frost resistance, very good resistance to fungal diseases and resistance to Plum pox virus. Intended mainly for northern growing areas with cold winters and unsettled spring weather. An interspecific hybrid of Cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera), Japanese plum (Prunus salicina), Ussurian plum (Prunus ussuriensis) and Chinese plum (Prunus simonii).

Vigour: moderate, canopy round, moderately dense
Blossom: the variety is partially self-fertile, so it produces crops even without the presence of pollinator. If there is a pollinator nearby, the harvest will be higher and more stable. A suitable pollinator is another variety of Siberian plum, Japanese plum or Cherry plum. Blooming flowers are resistant to mild frost.
Fruits: medium-sized, weight 30 g, round, peel dark purple with a light wax coating. Suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
