Columnar Apple (Malus domestica) PRIOKSKOYE

Russian variety of winter disease-resistant columnar apple. This variety is also suitable for climatically disadvantaged areas for apple growing. Gardeners particularly value this variety for its excellent taste and high fruit quiality.

Vigour: compact, columnar, very attractive looking tree with nice market fruits

Fruit: large, 150 g, evenly, round to slightly flattened. Basic color green-yellow, cover color dark carmine red on most of the fruit surface.
Pulp: greenish, very juicy with a fine-grained texture, aromatic. The taste is excellent, sweet and sour.
Harvest season: mid October
Storage: can be stored in a natural storage up to February
Yield: high and regular. Columnar apple trees will sometimes fruit the first year after planting, but usually start fruiting best in their third year and beyond.
Frost resistance: high
Disease resistance: immune to scab (Vf gene), resistance to other fungal diseases at the level of the best resistant apple varieties. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
