Columnar Apple (Malus domestica) ZELENY SHUM

Russian variety of winter disease-resistant columnar apple. This variety is also suitable for climatically disadvantaged areas for apple growing. Gardeners particularly value this variety for its excellent taste and high fruit quality.

Vigour: moderate, upright, columnar, final height 2 m, has very few side shoots and is therefore ideal for smaller gardens
Blossom: cross-pollinate, it is necessary to either plant two different and compatible kinds of apples in close proximity to each other to cross-pollinate
Fruit: large, 200 g, basic color green-yellow with a faint raspberry-red blush on the sunny side
Pulp: dense, fine-grained, sweet and sour taste with a rich honey aroma
Harvest season: September
Storage: until January
Yield: high and regular, 10 kg / tree. Columnar apple trees will sometimes fruit the first year after planting, but usually start fruiting best in their third year and beyond.
Frost resistance: high
Disease resistance: immune to scab (Vf gene), resistance to other fungal diseases at the level of the best resistant apple varieties. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
