Cornelian Cherry Dogwood (Cornus mas) EKZOTICHESKY

Ukrainian variety with attractive pear-shaped fruits, excellent taste properties and a long shelf life.

Vigour: upright
Blossom: self-fertile
Fruit: very large, pear-shaped to cylindrical, dark red to black when fully ripe, average weight 6.8 - 7.3 g, some to 8.5 g, length 4.1 - 4.6 cm, width 1.7 - 1.9 cm , Sugar content 10.4%. Stone share only 10%. Ripe fruits have a good shelf life and can be stored for approx. 3 - 4 weeks.
Pulp: dark red, dense, aromatic with an excellent sweet taste
Harvest season: mid-late, late August to early September
Yield: high and regular, very productive, 40 to 50 kg fruits / adult shrub
Usage: ripe fruits are best for fresh consumption, but also for processing such as jelly, jam, fruit juices, syrups or candied fruits
Disease resistance: generally good resistance to fungal diseases and pests
