Honeysuckle-Haskap (Lonicera caerulea) AURORA®

Large-fruited Canadian variety with an improved taste from the University of Saskatchewan.

Origin: descended from the Russian variety Solovey and the Japanese variety MT46.55. Released in 2012.
Vigour: upright, dense and compact shrub, height about 180 x 120 cm
Fruits: average weight 1.9 g, shape oblong, oval. taste sweet. Fruits easy to notice on the bush, easy to harvest.
Harvest season: late May
Yield: mechanical and hand harvesting. Fruits don't shake off. Average harvest from bush 5 kg, average harvest from hectare 16.5 t/ha
Disease resistance: no susceptibility to pests and diseases has been observed
Frost hardiness: completely hardy, even blooming flowers withstand frost -7°С
Special notes: to get a good harvest, it is recommended to plant different varieties next to each other, cross-pollination possible. The following varieties are recommended: Borealis, Tundra.
