Rarely common, large-fruited red mulberry variety originating in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Produces many fruits of unique shape and delicious taste. Pakistan Red mulberry begins vegetation much earlier than other domestic mulberry trees and is therefore sensitive to late spring frosts after budding. Growing is only possible in containers. To overwinter, the mulberry must be placed in an unheated greenhouse, placement outside the greenhouse is only possible after the spring frosts have passed.

Fruits: very large, elongated-cylindrical, 7 - 8 cm long. Berry weight 8 - 10 g, width 1 - 1.5 cm. The fruits are ripe when they turn dark red. They hold well on the tree, do not fall off. They are tastiest fresh, but can also be used in desserts and to make fruit juices, liqueurs, jams, etc.
Pulp: juicy, seedless
Taste: originally fruity, sweet and aromatic
Harvest season: late June to mid-August
Yield: medium high. The first yield onset already with two-year-old plants.

Frost resistance: up to -15°C
Usage: this species prefers lowland growing areas. Therefore, cultivation in Central European climates is only possible in a large container.
