Plum (Prunus domestica) KABARDINSKAYA RANNAYA

Early, self-pollinated, very popular domestic plum variety from Russia, Kabardino-Balkaria region. Valued for its high-quality fruits with excellent dessert taste, high frost resistance, resistance to fungal diseases and drought.

Crossing: the variety was obtained by random pollination of the plum Anna Shpet
Vigour: moderate, mature tree forms a beautiful round, dense canopy
Blossom: self-pollinated variety. Blooms early and abundantly, usually from late April to early May. Flowers are resistant to mild frost.
Fruits: large, broadly oval, weight 45 - 65 g. The basic color of the peel is purple with a light wax coating. Fruits tolerate transportation well. Thanks to the excellent dessert taste, they are particularly suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into high-quality compotes, jams and for preparing cakes.
Pulp: bright orange, juicy, aromatic, medium-thick, freestone, small stone
Taste: unusually sweet with a pleasant acidity
Harvest season: early, the fruits ripen in the second half of July
Yield: high and regular, yield starts in the 3rd - 4th year after planting
Disease resistance: the variety is characterized by high resistance to plum diseases
Frost resistance: both the wood and the flower buds are completely frost-resistant
