Large-fruited late Japanese pear, primarily intended for consumption after long-term storage.
Origin: interspecific crossing: Pyrus ussuriensis x Pyrus bretschneideri Vigour: very strong, crown erect and dense, later spreading Blossom: cross-pollinate variety, needs another apple pear for pollination Fruits: large, average weight 240 g, pear-shaped with a long stem. Peel bumpy, initially green, later yellow-green with pronounced light brown lenticels. Pulp: white, firm, crispy with a coarse-grained texture Taste: excellent, very sweet, aromatic Harvest season: ripens in early October. The fruits can be consumed only after storage. Storage in the refrigerator is possible for up to 6 months. It is one of the best storable varieties with long shelf life.
